Production Supervisor

We are recruiting experienced Production Supervisor for large manufacturing plant based in Rayleigh. Our client’s premises are located with easy reach by public transport. Working hours will be Monday to Friday based on rotating shifts 6.00 – 14.00 and 14.00 -22.00. We offer paid lunch breaks and free parking on site. Overtime is paid at enhanced pay rates.

Key responsibilities:
• Oversee production activities to meet customer requirements
• Responsible for all production troubleshooting, quality and efficiency matters.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines
• Ensure quality, health & safety and environmental standards are implemented and promoted
• Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner
• Train and mentor Production Staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance
• Empower staff to perform at optimum levels by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and
analysis of output.
• Responsible for production budget monitoring and execution.
• Attending scheduled meetings to review the departments KPI’s.
• Liaising directly with another departments such as Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure seamless
operations

Key responsibilities for Supervisor role:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a team leader or Supervisory role
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Great communication skills, must be able to communicate well with people from both shop floor to director level
and also customers
• Strong leadership skills and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines
• Optimistic in high-stress situations
• Experience of lean manufacturing principles
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
• Be focus and detail oriented
