ACCOUNTING MANAGER JOB IN DALLAS, TX
New requirement for anAccounting Manager job, with a medium-sized architecture and design firm, working from their head office in Dallas, TX. The role of accounting manager is suited to someone with 7+ years of experience within a similar industry such as architecture, interior design, construction, or engineering. Joining a highly collaborative and energetic team, offering a salary of up to $120,000 plus benefits.
The practice has a diverse history of delivering architecture and design projects across the USA covering a range of typologies including multifamily, high rise, senior living, single-unit residential, workplace, museum projects, and more. Now looking to hire an experienced accounting manager to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis from June/July 2024. Knowledge of the architecture, construction, or engineering sectors is strongly preferred either as an accounting manager, controller, finance manager, or similar. This role will see you working closely with the CFO and partners, as part of the shared services team.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Management and responsibility for company billings and project accounting
* Oversee and mentoring of accounting coordinators, training and evaluating work
* Collaborate with project managers to review accounting responsibilities
* Preparation and submission of payroll, including reconciliation, ledger, and journal entries
* Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable plus financial statements
* 401k management and year-end reconciliation
* Oversight of leadership team taxes and payments
* Bank account and credit line management.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Degree qualified in accounting or similar
* 7+ years of relevant experience
* Experience working within the architecture, design, construction, or engineering sectors
* Proficiency with Vision, VantagePoint, and MS Office is essential.
