SEMH TA (Teaching Assistant) Primary

Location: Gateshead, Tyne & Wear

Salary: £75 to £100 per day

Start: ASAP

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged students in, GatesheadTyne & Wear. This role focuses on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Job Summary:

Provide tailored support to students with SEMH challenges.
Collaborate with teachers to implement strategies that promote student well-being.
Assist in creating a supportive and understanding classroom environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Implement behavioral plans under the guidance of the SENCO and classroom teachers.
Monitor and report on the progress of students.
Provide emotional support and guidance to students throughout the school day.
Qualifications:

Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
