Working on behalf of a local authority, JO Recruitment are looking for a Development Manager (regeneration) on a permanent basis to lead and manage the development, design and delivery of key Regeneration development projects and deliver them on time, to budget and to agreed quality standards – supporting the overall objectives for the regeneration programmes and maximise outcomes for local communities.

Based in Basildon, this is a hybrid position, full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, with salary up to £66.391.

We are looking for a Development Manager responsible for maximising the financial and non-financial benefits of projects. You’ll fulfil the client role for the Fund, commissioning internal and external colleagues to buy land, secure planning and other consents, and appoint and contract manage design and technical consultants. You’ll also advise on the market-facing aspects of scheme development, carry out financial appraisal, negotiate funding / promotion / development agreements, and oversee sales and marketing for lettings and disposals.

You’ll be supported by a fund, asset and lettings management firm, and will direct multi-disciplinary professional teams including real estate consultants. You’ll also work closely with in-house economist and programme coordinators, and the Council’s development surveyors and project managers.
