Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants

Location: Leeds

Hours: 8:30-16:00 full time (term time)

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering their academic and personal growth.

* Assist in the implementation of tailored educational plans and strategies, ensuring each students unique requirements are met.

* Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to create inclusive learning environments that promote student engagement and success.

* Support students in developing essential literacy, numeracy and social skills through targeted interventions and activities.

* Adapt learning materials and resources to accommodate students’ varying abilities and learning styles.

* Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce classroom expectations, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children, particularly in educational setting, is desirable.

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues and families.

* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.

* Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.
