Warehouse Team Leader

Thorn Baker are proud to be working in partnership with an Alfreton based Warehousing and Distribution centre, supporting their search for a Team Leader to join them on a permanent basis. 

Overseeing a busy Goods In department within the warehouse, managing a team of 6 and reporting to the Logistics Manager, the purpose if this vacancy is to further improve and develop warehouse efficiencies and customer service. This position is focused at delivering consistent performance, ensuring all day to day aspects of the role are pro-actively managed. 

The Job: 

Overseeing a team of 6, ensuring all members are fully deployed, utilising resource in line with job priorities to maximise efficiencies
Managing team attendance, performance, productivity and accuracy levels 
Overall team management and responsibility for achieving operational KPI's
Maintain a good working knowledge of warehouse operational areas, including returns, inventory control, delivery schedules along with health and safety procedures 
Stock control and organisation 
Ensure all company and health and safety procedures are adhered to 
To lead, motivate and inspire team to ensure a multi task approach to all duties 
About YOU:

Over 1 year in a team leader / supervisor position 
Great organisational and time management skills
Good leadership skills - leading by example
Good numeracy and literacy skills
NVQ Level 2 in Warehousing highly desirable
NVQ in Team Leading is advantageous
Working knowledge of health and safety legislation
Must be open to flexible working approach during busy peak periods 
The Package: 

£26,500 per annum 
20 days holiday + stats 
40 hours per week 
Overtime rates paid where completed 
FLT training and accreditation provided
