Buyer

Our client is doing something truly exciting and incredible and has built a reputation as a leading global provider.

They have an opportunity for a Buyer to join their Purchasing Team. The Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that the right components are in the right place, at the right time to support the production plan and on-time delivery of customer orders. The Buyer will work closely and build strong working relationships with Sub-Contract Suppliers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Running MRP reports and placing purchase orders
Managing the open order book, expediting orders and creating and maintaining delivery schedules
Working with Suppliers daily and overseeing the supply and delivery of products
Monitor and adjust material requirements in accordance with customer demand
Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals
Ensure all ERP/MRP systems are updated and highlight any issuesExperience and knowledge required for the role:

Experience of working in a Buyer/Material Planning/Supply Chain role
ERP/MRP systems and Excel
Experience working in an engineering manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous
Knowledge of Supply Chain - Placing POs, managing lead times and inventory
Excellent communication skills who can work with colleagues and Suppliers
Strong attention to detail
