GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) for a full-time position at a client school in Gateshead, NE10. This role is perfect for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.

Job Summary:

Support students with SEN in their academic and personal development.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with teachers and SENCO to support the learning and development of students.
Use a range of strategies to engage students and encourage positive behaviour.
Monitor and record student progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and review of student support plans.
The Successful Candidate Will:

Hold a relevant degree or be a recent graduate.
Have experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEN.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be proactive, patient, and adaptable.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
