Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a IT Support for our client based in Wolverhampton. As an IT Support, you will be responsible for the day to day, operational IT support to the firm ensuring a quality and effective IT service is provided.

IT Support Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain the internal computer systems and networks.

Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.

Diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve appropriately.

Resolve technical and applications problems, via the helpdesk requests, either over the phone or in person.

Ensure a thorough understanding of the firm’s information systems and how they’re used and apply their technical knowledge/expertise appropriately.

Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.

Replacing parts as required.

Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.

Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.

Supporting the roll-out of new applications.

Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.

Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)

Prioritising and managing many open cases.

Establish a good working relationship internal and external customers.

Testing and evaluating new technology and involvement in specific project work as required.

To comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures and work safely to ensure the safety of yourself and other colleagues.

IT Support Details:

Salary: £21,500.00

Location: Wolverhampton (This role will from time to time require out of office hours working to ensure downtime and disruption is minimised)

Schedule: Full time (35 hour week)

IT Support Requirements:

2-3 years’ relevant IT experience.

Associated IT qualification desirable.

Work well as a team and alone.
