Salary - £35,253 per annum 

Job Type - Permanent/Full-Time

Hours – 40 hours (including 5 hours paid lunch breaks)

Community Support Service – Tier 2 (CAS-2): Nacro's Community Support Service commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, provides vital accommodation and support alternatives to custody. Our team offers flexible, holistic support to residents, helping them secure stable housing post-placement. This role is an excellent gateway to criminal justice and housing professions. About the Role:

About the Role:

• Lead the team by example by upholding Nacro’s values and behaviours and translating those into everyday activity. Be prepared to make difficult decisions and support direct reports to make difficult decisions.

• Own and set direction for a team/direct report to deliver the organisational and local priorities.

• Take responsibility for the communication of organisational and local messages through regular and effective team meetings.

• Set clear objectives and performance targets for each direct report using the appraisal process and monitor through regular one to ones.

• Work collaboratively across Nacro and with external stakeholders ensuring that you and your team provide a good service.

• Challenge and support direct reports to continually consider better ways of delivering outcomes for the service.

• Provide development and support to your direct reports to ensure their effectiveness and wellbeing.

• The role of Referral and Contact Centre Lead is integral to the success of the service and manages our Referral Team and referral function at our offices in Leeds. The Referral Centre is also the initial point of contact for all CAS-2 related enquiries.

Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge

• Understanding and Commitment to the Nacro’s Values.

• Knowledge of the issues affecting people in contact with the Criminal Justice System and/or people experiencing homelessness.

• Ability to develop person centred support and move on planning.

• Understanding of safeguarding.

• Ability to work with vulnerable adults with complex needs (such as substance misuse, physical health, mental health, seeking employment and housing support).

• Flexibility to travel within your allocated patch for training and team meetings and be flexible to cover other local patches as required.
