Assistant Service Charge Accountant

RM Recruit are proud to be representing a brilliant organisation in the third sector who are seeking a confident, well-experienced Assistant Service Charge Cost Accountant to join their team on a full-time, 10-month fixed term contract basis. Our client is able to offer a fully flexible remote working arrangement and competitive salary.
You will report directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner and Project Manager and assist with providing detailed financial accounting information related to service charge costs.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with budget holders to identify knowledge gaps and provide appropriate support.
* Assist in preparing the annual service charge budgets.
* Ensure timely and accurate production of service charge data and information.
* Deliver effective financial services to enable customer-facing colleagues to maintain high levels of customer service.
* Ensure all system data updates are accurate and comply with company policies and procedures.
* Work collaboratively within the Service Charge team and with other teams to drive business growth and success.
* Conduct data analysis and validation for the Group's service chargeable expenditures.
* Assist in preparing reports for the Executive Team and the Group Board.
* Represent the Finance team and the Group at external meetings as required.
* Regularly review and improve reporting processes to maximize the use of ICT systems.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of service charge costing, information interpretation, and research methodologies. Our client highly values experience in delivering data and information within challenging deadlines. The ability to establish and maintain strong, respectful working relationships, coupled with effective negotiation and influencing skills, is essential. Excellent IT skills and excel knowledge is crucial for this role.
