A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineering Leader to join a global manufacturing organisation and afford the flexibility to support both ongoing production issues and be responsible for capex and new manufacturing engineering projects.

Salary: Six Figure Package
Location: Herefordshire
Reporting to the MD and an integral part of the Site Senior Leadership team you will have full accountability for the Engineering Strategy for the manufacturing plant including staff, equipment, budgets, facilities, process capabilities and skill sets to ensure the plant achieves its production targets.
Duties:
o Responsible for delivering cultural change within the Engineering function at all levels to ensure that it aligns to the business objectives
o Leading the development of manufacturing processes, including capacity planning, layout development, process flow and CapEx projects
o Support the operations team by developing, maintaining, and improving the method of manufacture to meet safety, quality and cost target
o Develop new manufacturing capabilities and process for new products
o Able to measure, assess and deliver decisions based on data
Experience:
You will already have significant experience in a Senior Leadership role such an Engineering Director, Chief Engineer, Head of Engineering or Director of Manufacturing, with a proven background successful delivering cultural change and operational improvements within complex manufacturing environments.
o Professionally qualified – HND/ Degree in Engineering discipline, ideally with additional management and health safety training
o Experience gained in high volume heavy industry or capital intensive led manufacturing industries such as metals processing, foundry, rolling mills, FMCG or aerospace sectors
o Proven leadership & development of large engineering and technical teams
o Led significant new capital investment projects and operational improvements
o Commercially astute and multi million budget responsibility
o Strong problem solving and lean/ continuous improvement experience
o Data driven and methodical leader
