Senior Design Engineer
Stoke-on-Trent
£40,000 - £50,000 + Site-based Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) + Training Opportunities + Company Bonus Scheme
Are you a Design Engineer with an understanding of cladding and façade materials, and interested in taking a step up into a design management position with a growing company that is able to provide you coaching and support to achieve this?
This specialist building material supplier have experienced great growth and increased demand over recent years. Being established for over 20 years, the company now boasts a UK-wide client base and are looking to take on a design engineer who is interested in progressing to a Design Manager role within their close-knit and valued design team.
In this role you will have high responsibility in the management of existing and incoming projects, liaising with the design team to ensure deadlines are met, along with engaging with clients directly to understand and meet requirements.
The ideal candidate will come from a relevant design background with strong knowledge of CAD and will have gained an understanding of external cladding/façades.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to become a technical expert, in a position of high responsibility where you will aid drive the design team's success.
The Role
Project management within the design team
Liaising with company directors and clients to ensure requirements are met
Be on hand to advise with customer queries
Engage with suppliers on requirements
The Person
Project management experience
Good knowledge of CAD systems (ideally AutoCAD/Revit but not essential)
Basic understanding of external cladding and façades
