Our Local Authority are currently looking for an Admin Clerk to join them on a temporary basis.

Location – LE4 8BL

Pay Rate – £12.39ph

Job Purpose:

You will act as the first point of contact for clients offered the opportunity to attend a Driver Education Workshop.

Main Duties:

* To deal with client’s bookings and enquiries either verbally, in writing or face to face, in an effective and accurate manner. Taking direct ownership and responsibility at the first point of contact.

* To demonstrate a calm, positive and professional attitude at all times, to be proactive and using initiative to solve clients queries, which potentially may involve conflict and difficult conversations.

* To process clients personal details accurately and to take payments via a variety of methods.

* To efficiently maintain a diary system

* To undertake all administrative procedures required whilst ensuring the Driver Education Centre operates effectively. This will include handling incoming and outgoing mail, filing, photocopying, scanning, preparing and completing course documentation.

* To have an awareness of the need for confidentiality

* Responsible for protecting and managing information securely, and reporting breaches or suspected information security breaches, in line with Council policies

Experience required:

* Liaising with customers / clients using a variety of methods.

* Experience of accurately capturing, storing and retrieving information to meet customer and organisational needs.

* Demonstrating excellent customer care and experience of dealing with difficult customers

* Cash handling including cheques and credit cards

* Managing a diary system
