About The Role
Senior Support Worker -Ty Seren  - Hourly rate £12.50 to £13.75 - Full time - 40.25 hours per week - Dependent on qualifications and Experience
 
Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity for career development? We have an exciting opportunity in Swansea for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our residential home in Ty Seren, Gowerton. Where you will support individuals with complex needs associated with autism.
 
You will be assisting in the day to day management of the home and help continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals.

About Ty Seren:
At Ty Seren we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals.
There are plenty of opportunities for socialising with communal lounges and a large kitchen and dining area and several acres of fields and woodland.
  
Responsibilities:

Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.  
Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person. 
Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team. 
Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration. 
Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation. 
Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones. Sound good so far? We are looking for people who care and have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships;
Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs;
A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team;
Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes;
Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts;
A driving licence isn't essential, but would be advantageous; 
Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
 
To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need:

Experience in a support environment.
QCF level 3 qualified.
Knowledge of statutory regulations.
Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
Upload company policies and standards.
Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments
