Scientist Molecular Diagnostics Liquid Biopsy As part of the Molecular Diagnostics unit, you will support the liquid biopsy team to provide solutions for biomarker analysis in BNT's clinical and R&D programs by evaluating and developing new methods, supporting vendor selection, and overseeing sample testing. Independent planning, coordination and execution of development projects including establishment of new technologies and processes as well as external method evaluation Management of technical aspects in collaborations with external partners or research organizations regarding biomarker/diagnostic testing Large dataset analysis and evaluation Documentation of activities, e.g. write experimental plans, SOPs, evaluation and development reports Presentation of results and project updates internally and externally Research of relevant scientific literature to follow developments in the liquid biopsy field Supervision and training of Research Specialists PhD in Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or related fields Expertise in Liquid biopsy with a special focus on ctDNA detection using Next Generation Sequencing Strong data analysis skills, ability to manage, interpret and analyze large datasets (i.e. variant calling and annotation, TMB estimation, SV detection) Knowledge of bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of NGS data including common programming languages (Python, R, Matlab), software packages, algorithms and affinity with statistics is a plus Preferably experience working in a quality-controlled environment (ISO13485, GCP/GC(L)P) and basic knowledge of assay development processes (IVD devices) Pro-active mentality and a genuine interest and understanding of the area of expertise and the science supporting BioNTech's development programs Ability to manage multiple projects and to work closely with cross-functional teams Excellent organization and attention to details Team player with good communication skills in English Flexible Working Time Mobile Office Work from EU Countries Company Pension Scheme Childcare Jobticket Company Bike Leave Account Fitness Courses and much more.
