Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview:We are looking for a reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the company's accounts payable process efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and authorization.
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to verify accuracy and completeness of transactions.
Obtain approvals for invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.
Enter invoice data into the accounting system and prepare batches for payment processing.
Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances or discrepancies.
Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers, in accordance with payment terms and schedules.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals.
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status and account balances.
Assist with the preparation of reports and analysis related to accounts payable as needed.
Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
