Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/Accounting Clerk to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be comfortable handling financial transactions, payroll processing, and other accounting-related tasks within the HR department.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with payroll processing, including verification of timesheets, calculation of hours worked, and ensuring accurate payment to employees.
Support the HR team in managing employee compensation and benefits packages, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations.
Handle the preparation and maintenance of financial documents and reports related to HR activities.
Assist in the budgeting process for HR-related expenses, including training, recruitment, and employee events.
Provide support in managing accounts payable and receivable within the HR department.
Collaborate with the accounting department to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining up-to-date employee records.
Assist with recruitment efforts, employee onboarding, and training activities as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience in accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial principles related to HR functions.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Previous experience in a Human Resources department is a plus.
