Job Description
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $22.00 Per Hour.
Position Purpose:
Within the Collection Department’s GIS and Planning Team, be a part of an ambitious project to develop our Best in class Asset Management Program.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Nassau County Sewer System GIS update
Populate the pipe material and age of 70.000+ Pipe sections representing 3000 miles of sewers in Nassau CountyGathering and analyzing data from various sources:Construction As-built drawings.
Sewer CCTV inspections reports.
Sewer Pole Camera Inspection reports.
Engineering reports
Sewer System Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
Nassau County Sewer Structural defects list analysis
Organize data by type and cost of repairs.
Support our GIS specialist in the creation of GIS map layers.
Nassau County Sewer CCTV inspection reporting Database analysis
Compile different access database into one.
Organize it to be ready for use within our Asset Management system.
Other projects that will allow to improve Nassau County Sewer Asset Management Systems: GIS and Work Order Management Databases.
Work Environment:
Work is performed mainly inside, but also outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions.
Candidate may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations.
Candidate may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
